She’la White, LPC (she/her/hers)

She’la White is the founder and clinical director of The Safe Space Therapeutic Services, LLC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience working with children and families through assessment and intervention programs. She’la brings more than a decade of experience as a counselor and she works effectively with clients from all walks of life to identify and achieve meaningful goals. Through her strengths-based, holistic approach, She’la addresses many dimensions of a person's life, including cultural factors, family dynamics, job situation, social supports, financial pressures, wellness (including diet and exercise) and coping skills. She’la helps people go from having insight about problems to making active changes to move forward in meaningful ways.

Shela’s goal is to help you achieve a full, vital, and meaningful life. As challenges occur, life becomes stressful and it can be difficult to feel balanced and in control. She believes in empowering individuals and families by using evidence-based treatments within a framework of compassion and sensitivity while recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and setting.

She’la has been working in the mental health field since completing undergraduate program, providing intensive counseling to clients in a variety of settings, including homes, correctional facilities, hospitals, as well as inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. She’la earned her Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (LU) and her undergraduate degree at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)
